It's an indisputable part of the contemporary social landscape that there are millions of people who grow daily more convinced that these are the "end times" prophesied in the Bible. No one seriously argues that those people exist.
It seems logical to assume that there would be a lot of interest on the part of those believers in the various figures prophesied in the the "end times" scenarios in the Bible, in particlular the figures mentioned in The Book of Daniel and The Book of Revelations of John The Divine.
In addition it would seem obvious that, given the financial resources available to the various sects and denominations of "end time" believers, that access to all but the most militarily strategic surveillance technologies would be available to assist those believers in their searching for these prophesied figures.
They're looking for Jesus, they're looking for the anti-Christ, they're looking for the Beast, they're looking for Michael that Great Prince.
The New Yorker had an article at least ten years ago about some Texas millionaire going over to Israel to help breed up an unblemished or "spotless" red calf, because it was mentioned somewhere in the literature as a necessary precursor for the triumph of the righteous during the Apocalypse.
So it isn't, or shouldn't be, difficult to imagine people with access to the financial resources of the various sects and denominations using their considerable might to search out possible candidates.
Imagine the minds behind those searches - the ignorance swollen with almost unlimited power - and the temptation presented by any interrogation, to feel dominant and superior to what may have been a superior dominant individual outside the context of that interrogation.
Imagine not just wars and rumors of war, but rumors of the anti-Christ, rumors of the Beast, rumors of the archangel Michael, and how the teams of investigators would approach them.
Investigate them.
Now imagine the discard pile.
Imagine the disrupted lives and the terror and disgust at being "handled" and "probed" by ingnorant delusional men and women.
And then set loose, abandoned to the real world again, imagine the damage of that, and where would you go to complain?
To God?
Wasn't it God who just did that to you?
Well no, it was people who have claimed God, who've had that claim justified by their own warped minds, and who've silenced every serious challenge to that claim.
Leaving no alternative to stopping them but war.
Which we have.
And mass death, which we're headed directly toward.
Just as prophesied.
So everything's ducky.
Unless it isn't.
